If the pipe really is as close as it looks, you may be within the range of fouling with different wheel tolerances. I found that with my sleeper - I *had* to retain the original 13" wheels but wanted to upgrade the brakes. I got sufficient clearance with the first wheel I tried, but not all the wheels! In the end I had to take a flap disc to the brake caliper, which would be a real shame in your case!

I bought a black sierra XR4i in a scrap yard many years ago Johnny for 2 thousand and restored it and sold it about six months later for 15 thousand I think it had less than 30 thousand miles on the clock i can imagine how much these cars are worth today, cheers Johnny love your channel 👍

I faced a similar challenge getting Boxster wheels under stock beetle wings. Chasing mm's by grinding clearance on the beam was totally worth the extra steering lock.

Ooofft it's got to the really exciting stage were you just want to rush it so you can drive it.
